My name is Mayra, but you can call me May.
I'm a geeky Brazilian who came to the UK to hide from the heat and the sun.

Since I was young I was what you would have called a "spiritual person", meditation, Yoga, Reiki, were all part of my daily routine.

I also always loved playing cards, even going to the extent of collecting them.

That was when I got my first Lenormand deck, at first it was only part of my card collection, but soon became something more. Of course, the readings I did then were very basic and always followed with many looks in the little booklet, but I had found something that sparked my curiosity and amazed me on how accurate my precarious readings were.

However, it wasn't until 2020 that I got that drive to delve into the world of fortune-telling again.

A friend from Brazil had started reading Tarot, and I was happy to request a few readings with her. I was impressed with how much information these cards contained and how pertinent to the situation they were. So, when she recommended a beginners course, I jumped right in.

That was the start of my Tarot journey, but far from the end of it. I can't seem to tire from learning more and more about it. The symbolism, the different schools, methods, and applications.

Today, I specialize on Raider Waite Smith and similar decks, but I'm also broadening my understanding of Tarot de Marseille and have since learned to read Petit Lenormand as well.

Additionally, I'm a member of TABI, a vibrant community of Tarot readers and enthusiasts who come together to share insights, exchange views, and engage in enriching discussions on the subject.

When reading, I use the symbology of each card and how they communicate with each other to arrive at the relevant meaning for the situation at hand.

My practice is not part of any religious practices and, even though I still call my method "intuitive" it is heavily grounded on my studies of the cards, their symbols and their different applications.
