Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic healing technique that originated in Japan.
Practitioners use hands-on or hands-near techniques to channel universal life force energy to promote relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
The word "Reiki" combines two Japanese words: "rei" meaning universal, and "ki" meaning life force energy.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands on or near the recipient's body, facilitating the flow of energy to areas where it's needed most.
Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy to conventional medicine and is based on the belief that energy imbalances contribute to physical, emotional, and spiritual issues.
“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing, This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted, there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well-being. ~ The Reiki Assossiation
