My Approach

Intuition Wizard: My Approach to Tarot and Oracle Readings

Mini Tarot de Marseille by Lo Scarabeo

A wizard is like a fantasy scientist, dedicating their lives to studying magic in order to practice it effectively. As the Intuition Wizard, I immerse myself in the study of Tarot and other oracles, such as Petit Lenormand, to understand their symbols and deeper meanings. This dedication mirrors the commitment of wizards to mastering their arcane crafts.

However, theory alone is not enough. The real power of Tarot lies in its imagery and symbolism, which speak directly to our subconscious in ways our rational minds cannot fully grasp. To truly understand Tarot's messages, one must go beyond academic study and learn to trust their intuition. This intuitive approach allows us to uncover personalized insights in each reading.

Reading Tarot is akin to interpreting a text in a foreign language. While you might know the literal meanings of the words, you need to convey the underlying ideas in a way that resonates with the listener. This requires not just knowledge, but also an intuitive sense of connection and understanding.

For me, Tarot is not tied to any religious practice. It is a deck of cards with illustrations rich in symbolism that taps into the collective subconscious. I view Tarot as a tool for self-exploration and understanding, offering insights into our lives and the world around us.

My Approach to Tarot

I primarily use the Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) deck for my readings. While I have a variety of decks that are based on the original RWS, I tend to rely on the traditional meanings assigned to each card in this deck.

In my practice, I employ a range of spreads to suit different needs. These include simple three-card spreads, where positions are assigned based on specific questions or issues, as well as linear readings, where the cards are interpreted in sequence without predefined positions. Some of the spreads I frequently use are the Peladan, Celtic Cross, Zodiac Wheel, and Aphrodite Temple, among others.

My focus is always on the symbolism of the cards. When I use decks other than the RWS, I may incorporate the unique imagery from those decks to enhance and elaborate on the traditional meanings.

My Approach to Lenormand

Lenormand cards can be interpreted through two main schools of thought: the Brazilian and the European methods. Each approach has its unique nuances and traditions, shaping how the cards' meanings are understood and applied in readings. I primarily use the Brazilian school of interpretation, which offers distinct perspectives on certain cards.

Here I also employ a range of spreads to suit different needs. These include simple three-card spreads, where positions are assigned based on specific questions or issues, as well as linear readings, where the cards are interpreted in sequence without predefined positions.

What I Do Not Use Tarot For:

Replacement for Therapy: Tarot is not a substitute for professional therapy or mental health care.

Replacement for Conventional Medicine: Tarot does not replace medical advice or treatment.

Psychic Practices: My approach to Tarot is not based on psychic abilities or supernatural beliefs.

In essence, my practice is about bridging the gap between scholarly knowledge and intuitive understanding, using the profound language of symbols to guide and illuminate.

What to expect from a reading?

In my Tarot and Lenormand readings, my primary goal is to provide clarity, advice, and guidance to help you navigate life's challenges and opportunities. The cards serve as a mirror, reflecting aspects of your situation and your inner self, allowing you to gain deeper insights and a fresh perspective. By interpreting the symbols and messages within the cards, I aim to illuminate pathways and possibilities that might not have been immediately apparent.

My readings are designed to offer practical advice and support, helping you to make informed decisions and to feel more confident about your choices. Whether you are facing a specific dilemma or seeking general guidance, the cards can highlight potential outcomes and provide a framework for understanding the dynamics at play. This process can be empowering, giving you the tools and knowledge needed to move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

In addition to providing external guidance, my readings encourage introspection and self-discovery. The act of consulting the cards can prompt you to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and motivations, fostering a deeper connection with your inner self. This introspective journey is a vital component of the reading, as it helps you to uncover hidden truths, recognize patterns, and cultivate self-awareness.

Ultimately, my aim is to create a supportive and insightful experience that enriches your understanding of both the situation at hand and yourself. Through this process, I hope to assist you in finding the clarity and direction you seek, enabling you to navigate your life's path with greater confidence and insight.

Why Context is Important

Any information you provide during a Tarot or Lenormand reading will not alter the fundamental messages conveyed by the cards. However, sharing details about your situation can significantly enhance the reading by providing context, enabling me to tailor the interpretation to your unique circumstances. This contextual understanding allows me to connect the symbolism and insights from the cards more directly to your specific needs and questions, making the reading more relevant and actionable for you.

For instance, if you are dealing with a career decision, knowing your current role and aspirations can help me focus the reading on aspects of your professional life, offering more precise guidance. Similarly, if you are seeking advice on a relationship, understanding the dynamics and key issues can help me interpret the cards in a way that addresses your particular concerns.

By providing context, you enable me to translate the broad and universal messages of the cards into specific advice and insights that are directly applicable to your life. This personalized approach ensures that the reading is not only accurate but also practical and meaningful, giving you the tools and understanding you need to make informed decisions and take positive steps forward.

In essence, while the cards themselves hold the same potential insights regardless of the information you share, your input allows me to fine-tune the reading to better serve you. This collaboration between the reader and the querent enhances the overall experience, making it more insightful, supportive, and ultimately, more useful to you.

Topics I don't see in readings

There are certain topics I avoid in my readings to ensure they remain constructive and respectful. These include matters related to death, health issues, pregnancy, and third parties unrelated to the querent. Focusing on these areas can lead to unnecessary anxiety and misinformation, so I prefer to concentrate on providing guidance and insight that directly benefits you and your personal journey.

Why do I avoid talking about 3rd Parties

My aim is to help you guide your life towards what you want. Focusing on third parties is not productive and serves only to satiate curiosity. Instead, my readings center on empowering you, providing insights and guidance that are directly relevant to your own experiences and decisions. This approach ensures that the reading is constructive and beneficial for your personal growth and well-being.

Asking questions after a reading

After your reading, you have one week to ask any questions that may arise about the insights and guidance provided. I will respond to these questions as soon as I am able. Please note that this follow-up period is for clarifications about the previous reading, not for conducting a new reading. This one-week timeframe ensures that the details of your reading remain fresh in my mind, allowing me to answer your questions more efficiently and accurately.

Tarot or Petit Lenormand?

Although the symbols and structure of both decks are completely different, both decks can be used for any kind of reading. The preference of one over the other depends on solely of the reader's or querent's preference.

If you are not sure which deck to choose, contact me, and we can discuss which one would suit you better.
